Legal agreement

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 21 May 2025

These conditions are the agreement under which Azure Moon Spark makes this website and its pieces available to you. They're binding once you use the site, so it's worth a read. They sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and together they describe the give and take between you and the workshop.

1. User obligations and conduct

  1. You agree to use the site honestly and lawfully, and not to misrepresent who you are when contacting us.
  2. You won't attempt to interfere with the site's operation, security, or other visitors' use of it.
  3. You won't submit content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  4. The site and its pieces are intended for adults able to enter into a binding agreement; if you are not, please involve someone who can.

2. Your responsibilities

  1. You're responsible for complying with the laws and regulations that apply to you where you live.
  2. You agree to hold the workshop harmless from claims arising out of your own misuse of the site or breach of these conditions.
  3. You'll respect the privacy and rights of others in anything you share with us.
  4. Where the site links to or mentions third parties, your dealings with them are between you and them.

3. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  1. Disclaimer of warranties. The site and its content are offered as they are. While we take real care over accuracy, we can't promise the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to every particular purpose.
  2. Handcraft note. Pieces are made individually by hand. Small, natural variations from photographs are a feature of that process, not a defect.
  3. Limitation of liability. To the extent the law allows, Azure Moon Spark is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site.
  4. Force majeure. We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as supply interruptions or extraordinary circumstances.

Nothing in these conditions removes any rights you hold under the consumer-protection laws that apply to you.

4. Legal information and dispute resolution

  1. Governing law. These conditions are governed by the laws of Japan, where the workshop is based, without affecting any mandatory protections of your home country.
  2. Resolving disagreements. If something goes wrong, we'd much rather you tell us first; most matters are settled with a straightforward conversation before anything formal is needed.
  3. Severability. If any part of these conditions is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  4. Changes. We may revise these conditions from time to time; the date shown above marks the current version.
